  • The senior Manager of Revenue Cycle Operations leads operations for integrated Patient Access, Financial clearance, Medical Billing, Accounts Receivable and Central Service Unit operations and is responsible for the overall direction and management of the departments for WDHS and its customers.  Directly responsible for daily revenue cycle operations and workflow oversight for multiple Wentworth health Partners and WDH locations.  Reports directly to the director of Revenue Cycle Operations.
  • This position is the local Epic RCO Business Owner and works closely with Partners eCare to optimize Epic and all associated complementary applications.  This role will be responsible for ensuring that all enterprise processes, policies and procedures are adhered to by WDH.
  • This role is responsible for working closely with clinical leadership to deliver high quality, patient focused, cost effective, responsive health care services.  This person also works collaboratively with leadership to coordinate and develop long-range strategic plans for revenue cycle operations.
  • In collaboration and consultation with his/her colleagues in the Partners RCO Team, which includes all aspects of Revenue Cycle, this role will also be responsible for developing cross team solutions and recommendations to improve overall revenue cycle outcome at WDH.  In addition this role will work closely with the Physician Organization revenue cycle leadership and CFO to ensure that revenue is optimized and cost controlled at WDH.

Qualifications

  • Experience Minimum Required
    • 10+ years of patient access, revenue cycle and/or management experience in a hospital or physician practice.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage large groups of staff.
    • Excellent process improvement, analytical, systems and customer service skills.

    • 15+ years of patient access, revenue cycle and/or management experience in a hospital or physician practice.

  • Education Minimum Required
    • Bachelors degree, or actively pursuing Bachelors degree in business, health administration or finance.
  • Education Preferred/Desired
    • Masters in Business, Finance or Healthcare Administration preferred.
    • CPC or COC preferred.

  • Special Skills Minimum Required
    • Expert in all aspects of registration
    • Good knowledge of CPT/HCPC's, ICD diagnoses coding and chargemaster.
    • Great knowledge in all areas of procedural authorizations
    • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
    • Fully versed in regulatory requirements.
    • Good understanding in medical billing processes including EDI, claims, remittances/payment posting, collections and bad debt
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
    • Experience with multiple computer financial systems and troubleshooting issues that impact claims production.
  • Special Skills Preferred/Desired
    • Expert in medical billing processes including EDI, claims, remittances/payment posting, collections and bad debt.
